Uxmal & Puuc Route
The UNESCO World Heritage site of Uxmal is the finest achievement of the Puuc-region Mayas and represents the second largest site in the area after Chichén-Itzá, however probably greater in its harmony, beauty and unique architectural style. During this tour guests will travel along the Puuc Route to visit other smaller but equally important sites along the road; Labna, Xlapak, Sayil and Kabah; To conclude at Uxmal where visitors can gaze at the Magicians Pyramid, one of the most impressive in Yucatan, The House of the Governor, the Temple of Turtles, and also climb the Great Pyramid. Tours start in the morning to return to Merida by mid-afternoon, but for those who only wish to visit particular sites over others custom tours are also available. In the summer months we strongly recommend the Light and Sound Show at Uxmal, performed nightly.
